Must:
We require candidates to possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field; an advanced degree would be an advantage. You should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in penetration testing, including at least 2 years concentrated on submarine or maritime systems. A Top Secret Clearance is essential. Relevant certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, CEH, or GPEN are highly regarded. You need to have proficiency in various penetration testing tools (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash). A robust understanding of network protocols and security architecture specific to submarine systems is critical. Additionally, excellent analytical skills and attention to detail are a must, along with the capability to convey complex security issues to all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Information Systems Security Officer at AMERICAN SYSTEMS, you will have the chance to undertake the following tasks:
- Penetration Testing: Plan, execute, and provide reports on penetration tests and security evaluations of submarine systems to identify security weaknesses.
- Vulnerability Analysis: Assess and prioritize vulnerabilities and security deficiencies discovered during evaluations, collaborating with engineers to create mitigation strategies.
- Security Assessments: Conduct comprehensive security assessments on network and system architecture to confirm sufficient protection against threats.
- Reporting & Documentation: Generate precise, thorough, and clear reports for both technical and executive audiences, detailing findings, risks, and recommended actions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams such as engineering, IT, and operations to ensure that security is incorporated into system designs and operations.
- Tool Development: Design and implement tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance the penetration testing process and automate repetitive tasks.
- Continuous Learning: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and methodologies in cybersecurity that are pertinent to maritime and submarine systems.
