Mainframe Migration Specialist

- Execute daily, bi-weekly, and monthly reports for all CLIENT Mainframe applications, as well as create new reports as required - Address any program or data issues reported by end users - Develop new ETL jobs and monitor existing ones to facilitate data sharing across the agency - Update programs to new versions during infrastructure and software upgrades by the Mainframe team - Work in conjunction with other IT development teams to migrate and integrate modules with contemporary asset management systems - Collaborate closely with business analysts, subject matter experts, and development teams throughout design, development, testing, implementation, and support of application projects - Engage in the software testing process, focusing on identifying and rectifying defects - Contribute to and support deployment strategies - Participate in formal and informal technical reviews and presentations - Grasp high-level application architecture/design, network design, performance constraints, and security frameworks - Utilize technical expertise to devise solutions and address complex challenges - Research, present, and recommend solutions regarding technical issues - Explore new ideas and initiatives that foster innovation - Respond to input from reporting managers, applying feedback as necessary - Accurately gauge time requirements for development tasks - Engage with various teams to ensure collaboration and successful outcomes - Exhibit the ability to work efficiently with diverse individuals and achieve common goals - Proactively develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members
