Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in technical support roles with a solid foundation in software troubleshooting and hardware management.
- Familiarity with operating systems including Windows (Windows Server), macOS, and Linux.
- Understanding of computer networking principles such as TCP/IP, DNS, LAN/WAN administration, VPNs, firewalls, and network security protocols like Meraki.
- Practical experience with IT infrastructure management tools such as GPO, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Capacity to effectively diagnose issues related to computer hardware components and mobile devices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical users with clarity.
- Prior experience with help desk ticketing systems like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy is advantageous.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) are beneficial but not obligatory.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance for software troubleshooting, hardware issues, and network connectivity concerns across various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Assist users with computer management tasks, including operating system updates, device configuration, and application installations, leveraging tools like RMM and GPO (Group Policy Objects).
- Diagnose and resolve network issues associated with LAN, WAN, DNS, TCP/IP protocols, VPNs, firewalls, and network security devices such as Meraki.
- Support desktop activities, including setup, maintenance, and repair of computer hardware and mobile devices.
- Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory, and troubleshoot email services using ConnectWise and N-Able.
- Collaborate with team members to analyze incidents, applying analytical skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive records of support requests and solutions in ConnectWise or other RMM tools to facilitate ongoing improvement.
