Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 8 years in software development experience
- At least 3 years in building AI/ML systems
- Experience in developing modern web applications using JavaScript frameworks such as React and backend technologies like Node.js
- Proficient in Python programming
- Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI
- Familiar with constructing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures
- Experience integrating vector databases like Azure AI Search or FAISS
- Skilled in deploying containerized applications on Azure platforms
- Experience building production APIs, preferably with FastAPI
Responsibilities
- Design and develop applications powered by large language models (LLMs) utilizing Azure OpenAI
- Create and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems
- Architect agent-based and tool-using AI solutions
- Build and engineer NLP pipelines for classification, summarization, and information extraction
- Develop secure, containerized APIs using FastAPI and Docker frameworks
- Deploy applications on Azure, including AKS or Azure Container Apps
- Establish CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps
- Enhance performance metrics such as latency and observability, while optimizing token costs
- Mentor other developers and contribute to the establishment of architectural standards

We specialize in Azure-based AI solutions and are currently seeking an AI Developer to join our team. This is a contract role that offers an annual salary between $150,000 and $155,000. Our work location is hybrid remote based in Washington, DC.
