Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Over 2 years of relevant experience in wireless communication.
- Strong understanding of wireless communication protocols, particularly Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax).
- Proficient in conducting over-the-air Wi-Fi testing and familiar with testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Network knowledge, including IP addressing (IPv4/IPv6), subnet masks, and routing.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking principles and the ability to configure networks accordingly.
- Experience in Wi-Fi testing for consumer electronics or networking devices.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards (e.g., FCC, CTIA, 3GPP) related to Wi-Fi products and testing processes.
- Understanding of RF principles and antenna design factors.
- Proficient with Wi-Fi testing instruments like spectrum analyzers and network analyzers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex Wi-Fi challenges.
- Awareness of security protocols and encryption techniques in Wi-Fi networks.
- Experience with coding or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, Linux) for automating tests and CPE.
- Self-driven with a commitment to staying updated on the latest Wi-Fi technologies and industry developments.
- Willingness to learn about RF systems and Wi-Fi antennas, as well as LTE / 5G FR1 / Bluetooth (BTLE) relevant to Wi-Fi testing is advantageous.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and present comprehensive test plans and cases to ensure the quality and consistency of our advanced Wi-Fi products.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including hardware and software engineers, to troubleshoot Wi-Fi issues, optimize product performance, and ensure industry compliance.
- Conduct thorough assessments of Wi-Fi functionalities, ensuring optimal network connectivity, security, roaming, and throughput.
- Provide feedback to engineering teams on Wi-Fi test requirements and suggestions for design enhancements.
- Establish and sustain test environments, including Wi-Fi networks and relevant testing equipment, ensuring optimal conditions for accurate assessment.
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment for Wi-Fi signal analysis and troubleshooting.
- Stay informed on emerging Wi-Fi technologies and industry standards to continuously enhance testing procedures.
- Produce clear and insightful reports on test outcomes, including performance metrics and recommendations for improvements for customer evaluation.
- Complete additional tasks as needed in support of the team and projects.
