Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- Over 7 years of professional experience in software development
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot, JSP, Java, Spring MVC, Servlet, Node JS, JDBC, Hibernate, RESTful API, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and web frameworks like Angular JS
- Experience designing and implementing Microservices utilizing Spring Boot, as well as API solutions and REST/SOAP Web Services
- Familiarity with the Insurance sector and experience in developing Underwriting applications is highly advantageous
- Proven history of delivering top-notch software solutions within deadlines and budget
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, thriving in a collaborative matrix environment
- Strong communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Experience with AGILE/SCRUM methodologies
- Knowledge of GenAI LLMs, MS CoPilot, and other AI platforms is highly preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence strategic change
Responsibilities
- Spearhead and participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and ongoing maintenance
- Design and develop scalable, dependable, and maintainable software solutions
- Collaborate closely with business managers, operations teams, developers, infrastructure teams, product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, formulate project plans and estimates, and oversee multiple software development and maintenance initiatives
- Mentor and offer technical guidance to junior members of the team
- Conduct code reviews to ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and compliance with coding guidelines
- Identify and resolve software-related challenges, including troubleshooting and debugging, and deliver effective solutions
- Stay informed about industry best practices, GenAI, and emerging technologies, and integrate them to enhance the development process
