Requirements
Must:
- Veteran or retired military service is preferred
- Experience in IT, systems administration, networking, or data management is a plus
- Familiarity with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL (training is available)
- Basic knowledge of scripting or query skills (SQL, PowerShell, Bash) is beneficial
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
- Security clearance is advantageous but not mandatory
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be 18 years or older
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and oversee the database systems
- Ensure the integrity, availability, and security of data
- Carry out routine backups, recovery tests, and optimize performance
- Monitor system status and resolve database issues
- Assist users, applications, and reporting requirements
- Document processes and uphold compliance standards
- Collaborate with IT, security, and operations teams
Description
We are committed to finding a reliable and detail-oriented Database Administrator to oversee our database systems. This role is particularly suited for veterans with backgrounds in IT, communications, logistics, cybersecurity, or technical operations. While prior civilian DBA experience is advantageous, it is not essential, as we offer training and onboarding to help transition military technical competencies into this position.
