Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related discipline
- Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly in Jenkins using Groovy
- Strong hands-on knowledge of container-based technologies, primarily Kubernetes, Docker, AWS EKS, and OpenShift
- Familiarity with AWS managed services such as VPC, EC2, EKS, RDS, alongside monitoring and analytics tools like AWS CloudWatch and NewRelic
- Understanding of configuration management using tools like Chef, Puppet, or similar
- Proficient scripting capabilities in Bash, Perl, and Python
- Solid grasp of microservice architecture and concepts
- Experience with version control systems such as Git or Subversion
- Background in maintaining Java/Node web applications, specifically Spring Boot and React
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust CI/CD software delivery pipelines and tools for a large-scale enterprise environment
- Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) artifacts effectively
- Oversee container-based application solutions
- Develop and execute ad-hoc scripts using Bash, Python, and other languages to automate DevOps processes
- Collaborate with development teams to diagnose and resolve specific issues by replicating tests and validating configurations
- Provide deployment assistance by launching applications and microservices in cloud environments
- Maintain and enhance the performance and availability of a 24/7 production environment including networks, servers, and databases
- Administer network monitoring systems alongside alerting and log management solutions
- Participate in on-call rotations to deliver hands-on support during emergencies, outages, and service transitions
- Manage operational upkeep, including OS updates and addressing security vulnerabilities, to ensure the health of production and non-production environments
