Joint use technician

- Coordinate and design joint use pole attachments with make-ready recommendations - Collaborate with Engineering Team Members to ensure overall aerial process accuracy and completeness - Partner with the Joint Use Team and Supervisor to define the scope of pole installations according to NESC standards and utility regulations - Collect necessary information from field processes to identify pole owners and complete applications - Conduct various field inspections, site walks, and pole collections - Identify existing pole conditions, including electrical components and configurations - Utilize pole collection software like Katapult, IKE, SPIDAcalc, and Ocalc - Read and interpret construction prints and make-ready documentation - Create 3D models of poles in O-Calc and Spida-Calc for safe attachment solutions - Assess utility poles and field notes to ascertain appropriate make-ready solutions - Carry out structural loading calculations in compliance with NESC and pole owner protocols - Review proposed aerial projects and perform cost analyses, recommending aerial or underground approaches - Propose solutions for poles that do not meet loading requirements or are unsuitable for new attachments - Generate make-ready summaries based on various pole owner specifications - Complete additional tasks as assigned by leadership
