Requirements

Must:
I am looking for candidates who possess a SECRET Clearance and hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Additionally, you should have at least 10 years of experience in Systems Engineering. Your background should include practical experience with software development, particularly full-stack development, along with a solid foundation in pipeline development, testing, automation, and related CI/CD best practices. An understanding of US networking and global information systems, especially in cloud-based environments, is essential. Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, systems engineering practices, and accepted project management techniques is highly valued. You must also be able to effectively lead and manage a team of engineers and personnel, as well as prepare and deliver presentations to various levels of government and industry management.

Responsibilities

In this role, I will need you to provide your software and systems engineering expertise to support the F-35 Mission Planning Enterprise (MPE). You will assist in the establishment of both mid-term and long-term strategic engineering initiatives, coordinating closely with the technical staff of the Mx Sys PMO, prime contractors, and others on systems architecture efforts. You will develop a PMO roadmap that integrates key data from internal and external resources, such as GitLab, Jira, and Confluence, while automating future iterations. Your involvement will include supporting discussions with partners and prime integrators and preparing briefings for MxS leadership. Additionally, you will prepare supporting documentation for the integration of cybersecurity strategies and F-35 Fleet Management into the MxS Architecture, Data, and Business Logic models. It's crucial that you model the optimal modernization path and assist the Mx Sys Chief Architect in producing product specifications for delivered ALIS and ODIN products. You will also collaborate with other F-35 JPO organizations and external entities, conduct product identification searches, and develop action plans for integrating software from alternative sources.
