Requirements
Must:
- High School diploma or GED
- Preferred 3+ years of relevant maintenance experience
- Minimum of a Class IV Stationary Engineers License or ability to attain it within 6 months of hire
- Familiarity with standard HVAC practices
- Understanding of applicable building codes and regulations
- Knowledge of health and safety standards
- Basic record-keeping skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Preferably 2+ years of experience with CMMS software
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks, including overhauling or substituting defective valves, gaskets, and bearings
- Responsible for lubricating moving components, changing filters, and cleaning soot and corrosion from boilers
- Diagnose and repair electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
- Monitor and interpret gauges, meters, and charts related to boiler operations
- Assess boiler water, chemical, and fuel levels
- Operate valves to regulate water, air, and fuel in the boilers
- Evaluate equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency
- Routinely inspect safety devices
- Maintain records and logs of operations, maintenance, and safety tasks
- Monitor, maintain, and repair various equipment, including cooling towers, chillers, and HVAC systems
- Utilize electrical and electronic testing equipment for servicing, troubleshooting, and overseeing heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
- Perform chemical analyses on cooling and boiler water, adjusting chemical feeds to ensure proper disinfection and corrosion prevention
