Requirements
Must:
- Proficiency in either PowerShell scripting or Power BI
- Experience in disaster recovery protocols
- Competence in SQL Server management and Azure database virtual machines
- Familiarity with version control and DevOps methodologies for database objects
- Strong skills in logical and physical database design
- Ability to design and write stored procedures
- Knowledge in creating and implementing ETL processes for data integration and transformation
- Experience in developing and optimizing complex SQL queries and stored procedures
- Understanding of indexing strategies for enhancing performance
- A Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in database administration is required, with at least five years in the field
Responsibilities
- Manage all facets of the clients data, including backup and recovery procedures
- Design logical and physical database structures
- Create and write stored procedures for various applications
- Ensure effective disaster recovery implementations
- Conduct database maintenance, ensuring connectivity, replication, performance tuning, and upgrades
- Oversee installation and configuration of SQL Server software
- Diagnose and rectify operational issues within the database
- Automate tasks using PowerShell scripting
- Configure and maintain Power BI datasets, gateways, and refresh schedules
- Develop and fine-tune complex SQL queries for reporting and analysis
- Collaborate with application and BI teams to enhance data-driven initiatives
- Implement version control and DevOps practices for database management
- Participate in occasional in-state travel as necessary
