Requirements
Must:
I am looking for candidates with 3 to 6 years of experience in supporting PC hardware and software. You should be able to confidently and safely lift up to 50 lbs and navigate between buildings and the production floor to assist users. Familiarity with providing hands-on support for servers and networks is an advantage. Additionally, experience with mobile data plans, networks, and devices will be beneficial. A CompTIA A+ certification or an equivalent credential is required.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and peripherals. You will document, upgrade, or replace hardware and software systems as necessary. I expect you to support and manage user account information, including permissions, security, and system groups. Training employees, identifying, analyzing, and resolving product failures, as well as ordering and replacing parts when needed, will be part of your duties. You will also handle network connection issues by tracing connections back to network switches and escalate unresolved issues to senior support when necessary. It is crucial to represent our company in a professional manner while effectively communicating with customers and colleagues.
Description
We are in search of a talented and committed Desktop Support Technician II to join our IT team. This full-time position is vital for delivering technical support and ensuring the optimal operation of our IT infrastructure. Your experience in desktop support, troubleshooting software issues, and managing different operating systems, including macOS and Linux, will be invaluable. You will assist users with their technical requirements, ensuring that all desktop environments are running smoothly. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with an hourly pay range of $26.67 to $28.00. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k), dental insurance, health insurance, and vision insurance. You will primarily work onsite in New Bedford, MA.
