Must:
We are looking for a candidate with at least 10 years of experience in implementing technical solutions while working directly with clients. A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field is essential. The ideal candidate should possess practical API application and implementation experience, hands-on knowledge of SFTP and file management, and the ability to lead and drive complex implementations from start to finish, including system integrations. Experience in Citrix environments and familiarity with RFID technology or warehouse inventory management would be significant advantages. We value detail-oriented individuals with excellent analytical and organizational skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication abilities. The candidate should be a strategic thinker who excels in cross-functional settings, demonstrating self-direction and a fast learning capacity with a history of innovative problem-solving. An eagerness to quickly acquire new concepts, systems, and technologies as needed, along with the willingness to undertake specific training to support new initiatives, is highly appreciated. Additionally, the role may require up to 10% national travel to meet customer needs, including system installations and presale activities.
Responsibilities
As a Systems Engineer, you will provide Sales Engineering expertise to our Sales team as needed and collaborate with customers during the implementation of our products to ensure successful deployment. You will maintain and execute standard system administration practices, plan, deploy, and manage IT systems, as well as oversee Web Servers, Active Directory, and AWS environments. Your role will also include developing and maintaining system documentation, researching and resolving performance issues in distributed systems while working closely with our AWS Engineer, and monitoring computing resource utilization to track trends and project future requirements. You’ll advance our systems to align with A2B’s standards and objectives and guide third-party support vendors by monitoring their performance.

Since our inception in 1994, A2B Tracking has been at the forefront of developing military-grade solutions for tracking and managing critical assets and inventory for government agencies and commercial organizations. Our secure, cloud-based Asset Management software platform enables clients to achieve over 99% inventory accuracy while conducting inventories at a speed 30 times faster with mobile and fixed RFID technology. We offer a variety of services, including software implementation, consulting, and operational support like custom labels and plates. This position is hybrid, requiring you to be present in our Fall River office two days a week, and as necessary for meetings. You will work both independently and collaboratively with our CTO and teams across Engineering, Support, Professional Services, and Sales. In this dynamic role, you will help implement best practices and innovative technical solutions to support our continually growing organization.
