Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field
- Over 12 years of experience in architecting and developing complex systems using Java technologies
- More than 12 years of experience reviewing technical designs to uphold enterprise design standards
- At least 10 years of experience using Java IDEs like Eclipse or STS for system development
- 10+ years of experience designing and analyzing logical and physical data models in SQL and/or PL/SQL
- 8+ years of experience in maintaining and preparing the technology roadmap for supported applications
- 8+ years of programming expertise with Java JEE Spring/SpringBoot Framework 3.0
- 8+ years of experience utilizing Hibernate/JPA framework
- 5+ years developing projects using Angular/React JS, JavaScript frameworks
- 5+ years working within JBOSS Enterprise SOA and DevOps container environments
- 5+ years familiarity with CMM/CMMI Level 3 methodologies and practices
- 5+ years applying Agile development processes, including test-driven development
- 3+ years or knowledge in creating CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps
- 5+ years experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS
- Proficient in writing well-structured, testable code using Spring MVC, Hibernate, jQuery/HTML5, JavaScript, HTML, XML, and ReactJS
- Strong knowledge in designing both logical and physical database models in Oracle and Postgres
- Extensive expertise in data migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL
- Experience in optimizing SQL queries, scripts, and resolving issues using SQL, PL/SQL scripts
- Hands-on skills in Databricks
- Proficient in integrating software components into cohesive software systems
- In-depth knowledge of source control tools like GIT
- Experience in developing on application servers such as Apache Tomcat, JBOSS, and OpenShift Containers
- Experience in creating prototypes and mockups for user reviews and approvals
- Familiarity with flowcharts, screen layouts, and documentation to ensure logical progression of system requirements
- Experience working on large-scale Agile projects
- Knowledgeable in Java 8, SOAP, Restful Web Services, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Batch, and Spring Security frameworks
- Familiar with AWS cloud hosting services, including S3, EC2, VPC, Lambda, and others
- Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts such as Pods, Deployments, Services, and Persistent Volumes
- Knowledge of Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, and ActiveMQ broker preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead the application development team by providing technical oversight
- Develop business application components utilizing Object-Oriented Java/JEE technologies and design principles
- Create software design documentation and collaborate with stakeholders for feedback and approval
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications, interfaces, and RESTful web services
- Work with stakeholders to ensure application architecture aligns with business needs
- Manage all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including drafting technical specifications for complex initiatives
- Collaborate with Solution Architects to recommend cost-effective solutions through analysis of AWS pricing models and resource optimization strategies
- Streamline crucial business processes, ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance
- Prepare and propose technology roadmaps for ongoing application support and enhancements
- Mentor and guide other developers in the department
