Requirements
Must:
- BS or MS degree in engineering, software development, or a related technical discipline.
- Over 2 years of experience in relevant technical domains such as application engineering, hardware or software development, or testing.
- Familiarity with industrial automation products and their applications.
- Highly motivated and results-driven with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Capable of engaging with customer-facing colleagues to comprehend user workflows and applications.
- Proficient in interacting effectively with team members across all levels.
- Outstanding teamwork capabilities within a global development context.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to undertake limited domestic and international travel.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with fellow System Test team members to define and execute test cases that reflect system-wide and product-oriented scenarios based on customer usage.
- Investigate reported customer issues with the aim of reproducing problems and working alongside Development teams for resolution.
- Document test results systematically in the test management system.
- Create comprehensive documentation for test procedures.
- Provide regular status updates to the System Test team manager.
- Coordinate with the System Test team manager to stay informed about current project backlogs and plans.
- Assist Development teams by offering testing support and consultation as needed.
- Foster and maintain effective relationships with colleagues who interact with customers.
- Adhere to established processes within the Factory Automation sector and local research and development practices.
- Suggest and implement strategies for continuous improvement in processes, test coverage, and test assets.
- Automate testing processes wherever feasible to enhance efficiency.

This position, based in Johnson City, is part of our global Factory Automation Domain and collaborates with System Test teams in Germany and China.
