Requirements
Must:
- I am seeking candidates who reside in Calgary.
- I require a college diploma or university degree in computer science, information systems, or 1 to 3 years of equivalent work experience.
- Candidates should possess in-depth, hands-on knowledge of enterprise and desktop applications, including Microsoft Suite, Windows (desktop setup, installation, and deployment), and Microsoft 365.
- Experience in troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and resolution techniques is essential.
- I expect the ability to develop and interpret technical documentation for training and user procedures.
- A good understanding of current technology trends relating to software applications, as well as experience in building and maintaining databases for query and problem tracking, is needed.
Responsibilities
- As part of our IT team, I will assign you the task of providing remote support to our customers via email, support tickets, and phone calls on a daily basis.
- You will be responsible for user setup and maintenance in Active Directory and other applications.
- Desktop and laptop setup, troubleshooting, installation, and configuration through Help Desk will be part of your role.
- You will create user documentation and proactively communicate application problems to key stakeholders, including management and end users.
- Additionally, you will support the testing of new and existing software applications and apply diagnostic tools to help in troubleshooting.
- A vital part of your job will be to identify, learn, and support software applications utilized by our organization.
Description
- I value excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills, along with the ability to conduct research on software development and delivery concepts. - The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, capable of absorbing new ideas quickly, and possesses strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - The role may require off-hours support and some local travel, along with lifting and transporting moderately heavy objects such as computers and peripherals. - This is a full-time position based in Calgary, AB, and the salary ranges from $45,000.00 to $50,000.00 per year, with additional benefits including dental, extended health care, and vision care. - A typical work schedule involves an 8-hour shift. - As part of the application, I would like to know why you want to work with us and what certifications you possess or are working towards in the next six months. - Experience in help desk and customer service, particularly for at least 2 years each, is required, as is proficiency in English. - Please note that this position requires in-person work.
